The Role
As part of Checkout.com’s #NextGen Graduate Program you’ll work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience and a comprehensive introduction to digital payments and technology. The program offers an extensive learning experience through technical training, professional development workshops, and direct access to industry experts. You'll be part of a global Early Careers, Graduate community, with regular networking events, mentoring opportunities, and social activities designed to build connections and accelerate your growth and leadership potential. By the end of the scheme, you’ll be equipped with the knowledge, experience, and confidence to make a lasting impact at Checkout.com and beyond.
You will be joining one of the following key teams:

Merchant Operations Graduate: You will be responsible for supporting our merchants in one of two vital functions: a Merchant Care role (handling inbound queries directly from merchants) or a Merchant Configuration role (supporting the seamless setup and maintenance of merchant accounts).
How You’ll Make an Impact
During this Graduate Program, you will build foundational operational and problem-solving skills, collaborate with diverse teams, and contribute directly to our mission.
Risk Operations Focus: You will complete rotations across risk departments (due diligence, monitoring, disputes) to become a multi-skilled customer risk professional. You will conduct merchant risk assessments to mitigate financial risks (e.g., anti-money laundering), manage customer disputes, and apply analytical skills to identify and investigate potential red flags.
Merchant Operations Focus: You will gain practical experience in a multinational environment by meticulously following defined processes, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Merchant Configuration: Learn to efficiently set up, update, and terminate merchant accounts.
Merchant Care: Develop deep customer service skills by managing and prioritising a queue of inbound merchant queries and cases across multiple communication channels.
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Team
You’re a curious, motivated, and innovative operations' enthusiast, excited to dive into the world of digital payments and technology.
Education & Language: Bachelor’s degree in any field and proficiency in English and have graduated within the last 12 months/due to graduate by July 2026.
Communication & Mindset: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate information clearly and concisely. You possess a customer-centric mindset with a commitment to stakeholder satisfaction.
Work Ethic: Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in all tasks. You have an enthusiastic attitude, a strong sense of proactivity, and the ability to effectively manage time as priorities change.
Collaboration & Growth: Ability to collaborate effectively within diverse teams and stakeholders across departments. You have a passion to develop your leadership potential and an eagerness to learn and develop a strong understanding of structured processes.
