Underwriting Coordinator

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Underwriting Coordinator to assess and underwrite SME and retail non-motor risks, coordinate policy issuance, and liaise with internal teams and distribution partners to ensure efficient and compliant underwriting operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, underwrite, and accept non-motor SME and retail risks in accordance with company underwriting guidelines.
• Prepare, review, and issue quotations for new business, renewals and endorsements.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely policy issuance and servicing. 
• Act as a key point of contact for distribution partners handling SME and retail non-motor business and conduct regular partner visits.
• Accompany the risk surveyor during site inspections.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Higher School Certificate (HSC) or equivalent.
• Professional insurance qualifications ACII will be an advantage.
• Minimum 4–6 years’ experience in non-motor underwriting.
• Good knowledge of non-motor insurance products (SME and retail).
• Strong underwriting, risk assessment, and coordination skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good planning, follow-up, and organizational abilities.
• High attention to detail and sound analytical skills.
• Holding a valid driving licence would be beneficial.
