As part of the Group’s expansion, finance operations for transport and cargo logistics activities are being coordinated from Mauritius, supporting regional operations across Southern and Central Africa.

The Role
We are seeking a qualified ACCA Accountant to join our finance team in Mauritius. The role requires a strong general accounting background, combined with hands-on exposure to operational finance, debtors management, and revenue processes.

A significant portion of the role involves working on the division’s shipping and operational systems, supporting invoicing, revenue control, and debtor-related activities. Cross-training will be provided across group entities to ensure operational continuity and team support.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain full accounting records and process journals in Sage Pastel.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and support year-end financial reporting.
- Work closely with operational teams using the division shipping system to support customer invoicing and revenue processing.
- Monitor and manage debtor balances, ageing, allocations, credit notes, and revenue adjustments.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition in line with contracts and operational data.
- Perform intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
- Support audit processes and respond to audit queries.
- Assist with client onboarding, KYC documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to support financial and operational reporting.

Requirements
- ACCA qualified member (mandatory).
- 4–6 years’ experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong knowledge of Sage Pastel and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience working with operational or billing systems is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
