Summary:

We’re on the lookout for a sharp, dynamic Senior HR & Payroll Officer to help us elevate our HR and payroll operations.

In this role, you’ll be a key player supporting our Shared Service Centre in HR, Payroll, Resource Planning and Expat Management, bringing not just expertise, but ideas, initiative, and a passion for getting things right.

What will be your responsibilities?

Payroll:

• Provide effective and efficient support to HR to ensure smooth running of the payroll of the various countries (Mainly Africa & Belgium) including Mauritius.
• Ensure that the payroll calendar deadlines are adhered to, and all payments are done on time.
• Process payroll (enter data - benefits and deductions) and update payroll records.
• Compile, monitor, verify and reconcile all financial data for the payroll.
• Ensure accuracy of payroll master data.
• Prepare bank payment instructions and obtain approval from designated signatories.
• Send payment transfers and reports to bank.
• Ensure salary advices are issued to all our employees across all regions.
• Support/Assist external auditors with rationale and relevant documents.
• Prepare/Process monthly filing within the time frame.
• Prepare Financial and Operational reporting as needed.

Human Resources:

• Maintain accurate data in SAP HR of the various countries.
• Maintain employees' personal files according to policy and legal requirements.
• Ensure all contracts of employment and job descriptions are duly up to date.
• On boarding, off boarding and induction of employees.
• HR Reporting as and when needed.

Other cognate duties (not limited to)

• Resource Planning/ Project Staffing.
• Expat Management.

Who are we looking for?

• Degree or Master in Human Resource Management, or equivalent.
• At least 8 years’ of working experience in Payroll and HR Administration.
• Fluent in French and English (Spoken and written).
• Coaching & mentoring skills.
• International payroll expertise is a definite advantage (African Payroll is a plus).
• Knowledge of payroll software (Popay Software is nice-to-have).
• Ability to juggle with different payroll processing.
