We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our Finance team.

 

 

In this role, you will support day-to-day financial operations, assist in maintaining accurate financial 
records, and help ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will possess strong numerical and organizational skills, a solid understanding of
finance and accounting principles, and the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process daily bank transactions and perform weekly bank reconciliations for Group companies.
  • Prepare monthly client invoices and process supplier invoices for the Group.
  • Process journal entries for Group companies.
  • Prepare cash flow statements for Group companies, including cheque preparation and online bank transfers.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements (IFRS format) and management accounts using accounting software.
  • Prepare tax returns (CTX / APS / TDS).
  • Assist in the timely preparation of all accounting deliverables, including statutory and client requirements.
  • Support the audit process for Group companies, including liaison with external auditors.
  • Ensure ongoing and systematic filing of accounting and financial documents.
  • Assist in the preparation of FSC quarterly and annual surveys.
  • Process payments, manage accounts payable and receivable, and ensure timely bank reconciliations.
  • Support the Supervisor by providing relevant documentation for effective review of trial balances, including balance sheet accounts such as debtors and creditors.
  • Perform any ad-hoc or cognitive duties as assigned by the Line Manager.

Profile Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance or ACCA Level 2.

Skills and Experience

  • 3-4 years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate clearly and professionally.
  • Strong eagerness to learn and develop professionally.
  • Excellent task planning, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Excel and MS Word (MS Office suite).
  • Knowledge of Sicorax and QuickBooks accounting software will be an advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.
