Overview of the Role 🔍
To assist the Maintenance Manager in coordinating and managing resort maintenance operations to ensure efficient service, high standards, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities đź“‹
• Support performance management by assisting with appraisals, identifying training needs, and recommending promotions or other team-related actions.
• Coach, mentor, and provide ongoing on-the-job training, including induction of new team members.
• Promote team welfare, safety, development, and professionalism, ensuring discipline is maintained and issues are escalated to Management/HR as required.
• Coordinate and supervise departmental activities, ensuring adequate staffing, effective duty rosters, controlled absenteeism, and proper leave planning.
• Ensure the team presents a warm, professional image and handles guest complaints promptly with appropriate follow-up.
• Supervise day-to-day maintenance operations, including general repairs, new projects, and contractor activities.
• Monitor electrical and mechanical works in line with checklists and maintenance standard.
• Ensure corrective maintenance programs, maintenance requests, and follow-ups are carried out effectively.
• Maintain accurate documentation, logbooks, and compliance with Quality Management Systems and Safety & Health regulations.
• Oversee stores and inventory, ensuring timely ordering of spares and maintenance of par stock levels.
• Ensure plant rooms, workshops, and all maintenance areas are clean, safe, and well organized.
• Regularly test and monitor fire prevention and safety systems across the resort/business unit.
• Advise Management on refurbishment, rebuilding, and maintenance improvement initiatives.
• Comply with all the sustainability commitments and practices implemented within business units.
• Notify the Sustainable Development Department of any matters that may pose any impact to the environment and society.
Ideal Candidate Profile 🎯
• Diploma from a recognized institution in a relevant technical or maintenance field.
• Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in a maintenance department, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Computer literate with the ability to use standard office and maintenance-related systems.
• Fluent in English and French, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
