Job Profile
We are looking for detail-oriented and proactive Engineer(s) – Estimating to join our team and who will play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates, managing tender submissions, and supporting the commercial aspects of our projects.
Role and Responsibilities
- Check and analyse costings for tenders.
- Assist in preparing tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other related documentation.
- Prepare budgets for design & build projects.
- Ensure timely submission of tenders and upload all relevant information on ERP.
- Follow up on submitted tenders with consultants for updates.
- Update tender follow-up sheets after submission of new tenders and revised offers.
- Conduct risk analysis for tenders and highlight potential cost impacts.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all tender submissions.
- Provide input for value engineering proposals to optimise project costs.
- Any other cognate duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Degree in Engineering.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
Knowledge, Skills and Attitude
- Good knowledge of engineering concepts and principles.
- Proficiency in using estimation software and tools.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
