Albert Trading Ltd., the sole distributor of Makita in Mauritius and a leading supplier of professional tools and equipment for the construction and industrial sectors, is looking for a dedicated Sales Coordinator to join its Sales / Projects Department.

 

The Sales Coordinator provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of sales/projects office. Answers phone calls, schedules meetings, prepare quotes and supports visitors while carrying out administrative duties. Exhibits polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination:
    • Assist in planning, organizing, and monitoring project activities from initiation to completion.
    • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., sales, logistics, operations) to ensure project milestones are met.
    • Maintain project documentation, including timelines, budgets, deliverables, and client communications.
    • Schedule and coordinate project meetings, prepare agendas, and document meeting minutes.
    • Track project progress and report status updates to management and clients.
    • Identify and resolve project-related issues promptly.

 

  • Customer Service:
    • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email.
    • Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a courteous and professional manner.

 

  • Sales Support:
    • Prepare and process sales quotations, proposals, and invoices accurately.
    • Manage client inquiries, providing timely responses and ensuring excellent customer service.
    • Assist the sales team with lead tracking, follow-ups, and maintaining CRM records.
    • Coordinate with logistics and operations for order fulfilment and delivery schedules.
    • Support the preparation of sales presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

 

  • Administrative Support:
    • Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries.
    • Prepare quotes and other reports as requested by the department
    • Schedule and confirm appointments and meetings.
    • Perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing.
    • Plan meetings and take detailed minutes.
    • Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports.
    • Maintain contact lists.
    • Provide general support to visitors.
    • Act as the point of contact for internal and external clients.

Profile & Requirements:

  • A Diploma in business administration, marketing, sales, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales, customer service, or a related field (2–5 years).
  • Experience with the lighting and power tools sector is a plus.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build client relationships.
  • Exceptional negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  • Ability to analyse customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple accounts or projects.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the product or service being sold.
  • Familiarity with industry trends, competitors, and market dynamics.
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.
  • High level of adaptability to adjust to different clients and market situations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Working Conditions:

  • This position operates in a professional office environment.
  • Located in Port Louis
  • Mon to Fri: 08h30 - 17h,
  • Sat: 08h30 > 13h.
  • May be required to do overtime from time to time.
