Our client in the marketing sector is seeking to recruit a Commercial Director. The incumbent will be responsible for driving the commercial performance of the company.
This leadership role combines strategic business development, client acquisition, revenue management, and profitability oversight. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in agency growth, client relationship management, and commercial strategy execution within the marketing, media, or communications industry.
Responsibilities:
Business Development & Growth:
- Lead and execute strategies for business expansion and client acquisition.
- Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams.
- Oversee proposal development, pitching, and negotiations.
Commercial Strategy & ROI:
- Develop and implement the agency's commercial plan in alignment with business objectives.
- Set financial targets and ensure delivery on revenue, margin, and ROI goals.
- Monitor key performance metrics and profitability across client portfolios.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and nurture high-value client relationships to drive long-term partnerships.
- Work closely with account and creative teams to ensure exceptional service delivery.
- Act as a senior point of contact for key clients, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Build and lead a high-performing business development and account management team.
- Foster a culture of performance, collaboration, and accountability.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the agency's leadership team.
Profile:
- BSc Sales & Marketing.
- Minimum 10+ years experience in a commercial, business development, or leadership role-preferably in advertising, media, or marketing communications.
- Strong network of industry contacts and proven client acquisition success.
- Deep understanding of marketing, brand strategy, and digital transformation.
- Strong financial acumen and data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
