Embark on a journey with the Catering BU and seize this opportunity to be part of a team, which plays a key role in the planning, and preparation of meals for employees on a daily basis and during events/cocktails held in the restaurant. Coordination of these daily requests contribute to the smooth running of our businesses activities.

We are on the lookout for:

Job vacancy: Waiter

You will be responsible to serve meals to employees, while ensuring efficient & high quality service and strictly adhering to hygiene standard.

In this role you will:

  • Serve meals while ensuring strict adherence to customer service standards;
  • Assist with the preparation of ingredients required for meals;
  • Ensure smooth running of service at the Restaurant to respond effectively to clients' needs;
  • Prepare sandwiches and snacks as per requirements;
  • Check number of portions received from Cook for control purposes;
  • Clean and maintain dining room and kitchen according to hygiene standards and any other established standards;
  • Perform spring-cleaning as per required standards;
  • Gain greater exposure to relevant techniques and processes for enhancing proficiency;
  • Live and display the MCB brand and values in all daily activities. 

To succeed, you will be required to demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Holding self and others accountable to meet commitments;
  • Anticipating and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders.

We are looking for candidates who have a minimum of

  • A School Certificate (SC) and/or Professional qualification in Restaurant and Bar Services; 
  • 3 years of working experience as Waiter in Hotel/Restaurant/Bar environment/Catering field; 
  • A valid Food Handlers certificate.
