The Junior Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for managing supplier accounts and ensuring that all invoices are processed accurately and on time.
This role involves maintaining effective communication with suppliers and the team, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and accounting standards, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the Finance Department.

Reports to: Senior Accounts Payable Officer
Main Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and process supplier invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions in the accounting system.
- Perform regular reconciliations of accounts payable records to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain up-to-date supplier files and records.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding payment inquiries, statements, and account balances.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and applicable standards.
- Assist in month-end closing activities and reporting.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and efficient processing of payments.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Finance team.
Profile / Job Requirements
Qualifications :
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- ACCA Level 1 or 2 will be an advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a similar role focused on accounts payable or supplier management.
- Experience in the construction industry will be considered an asset.
Skills & Competencies:
- Good command of French and English, both written and spoken.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the full Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain a high level of discipline and rigour.
- Good listening skills and adaptability.
