Overview of the Role 🔍
To prepare high-quality, authentic dim sum dishes that meet the hotel's culinary standards for taste, presentation, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities 📋
• Prepare a wide variety of traditional dim sum items, including dumplings, buns, rolls, and other steamed or fried delicacies.
• Ensure consistency in taste, appearance, and portion size across all dishes.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Monitor inventory and assist in ordering supplies specific to dim sum preparation.
• Train and guide junior kitchen staff in dim sum techniques and food preparation.
• Participate in food tastings, quality control, and guest feedback sessions.
Ideal Candidate Profile 🎯
• Proven experience as a Dim Sum Chef in a hotel or reputable Asian restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of traditional Chinese cooking methods and ingredients.
• Ability to handcraft a variety of dim sum items with precision and speed.
• Understanding of food safety standards and kitchen operations in a hotel environment.
