We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Manager to lead our ferrule and electroplating operations.

Role Overview:
As the Workshop Manager, you will oversee all aspects of ferrule production and electroplating processes, ensuring top-quality products, operational efficiency, and a safe working environment. You will lead a talented team, drive process improvements, and implement best practices to support our growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Management

• Supervise electroplating processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards and production schedules.

• Optimize plating parameters for high-quality finishes and material properties.

• Oversee ferrule manufacturing including swaging, polishing, annealing, cone shaping, brushing, and surface preparation.

• Ensure dies, mandrels, and tooling are designed, maintained, and used accurately for consistency.

• Coordinate workflow between electroplating and mechanical sections to meet delivery deadlines.

Team Leadership

• Lead and inspire a team of ~30 technicians and operators across electroplating and ferrule manufacturing.

• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure safe and efficient operations.

• Allocate tasks effectively, monitor performance, and foster a collaborative team environment.

Quality Control

• Implement robust quality control measures to ensure products meet both internal and customer standards.

• Conduct regular inspections and testing to maintain quality and consistency across operations.

Equipment Maintenance

• Oversee maintenance for electroplating lines, polishing machines, swaging machines, and furnaces.

• Collaborate with maintenance teams to resolve issues promptly and minimize downtime.

Safety and Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with occupational safety, environmental standards, and industry regulations.

• Implement safety procedures for chemical handling, machine operations, and maintaining a hazard-free environment.

Process Improvement & Efficiency

• Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements.

• Drive automation and modern workshop practices where applicable.

• Apply innovative techniques to streamline production and reduce rework.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Degree or Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.

• Strong knowledge of electroplating processes and ferrule manufacturing (swaging, polishing, annealing).

• Proven leadership abilities, capable of managing and motivating teams.

• Expertise in quality management and adherence to customer standards.

• Hands-on technical skills for operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining workshop equipment.

• Knowledge of tooling design, dies, mandrels, and technical drawings.

• Strong problem-solving skills and experience driving process improvements.

• Quality-focused, driven, and able to perform under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
