The role holder will be responsible for preparation of iXBRL tagged accounts using the Alphatag software package, for submission alongside UK Corporation Tax Returns under the supervision of the Tax Managers / Director.
ROLE OVERVIEW
PURPOSE OF JOB
The role holder will be responsible for preparation of iXBRL tagged accounts using the Alphatag software package, for submission alongside UK Corporation Tax Returns under the supervision of the Tax Managers / Director.
The candidate will also be required to assist and support the team in other tax compliance service lines including preparation of the following:
- UK Corporation Tax returns and related tax provisioning.
- UAE Corporate Tax returns and related tax provisioning.
- Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man tax returns and related Economic Substance matters.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Following appropriate training, preparation of iXBRL accounts using Alphatag software package.
- Assist management with overseeing the accounts tagging process including information gathering and status monitoring.
- Check, maintain and ensure accuracy of internal records to ensure deadlines are recorded and subsequently achieved.
- Ensure that internal procedures and controls are properly followed.
- Any other duties as deemed necessary by Management.
- Adhere to Risk & Associated Compliance procedures in relation to regulatory requirements and AML legislation.
- Adhere to CPD requirements in accordance with qualification level and in-house procedures.
- Adhere to the JTC core values and expected behaviours.
- Review legal and tax advice where appropriate and be able to interpret / implement relevant advice as required.
- Ensure a professional service is provided to clients and intermediaries.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Strong attention to detail, self-motivated and able to multi-task.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- General ability to read and understand financial statements.
- Basic understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
- Previous experience of iXBRL tagging would be desirable but not mandatory.
- Awareness of Economic substance rules desirable but not mandatory.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA or ACA (part or fully qualified) would be advantageous.
