Main Responsibilities

  • Visit customers often enough to develop close working relationships.
  • Develop business development strategy with key accounts in the private medical sector.
  • Prepare annual forecast for portfolio of products and other forecasts as needed.
  • Seek ways to increase business growth.
  • Pursue efficiencies within department, especially when it comes to sharing of information.
  • Manage overall inventory levels.
  • Assist credit controller in recovering slow payments and resolving disputes.
  • Work closely with Sales Support to ensure smooth transactions and customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with regulatory and suppliers to ensure products meet all applicable laws.
  • Must be able to communicate with commerce/purchasing/technical/ regulatory groups at both customers and suppliers.
  • Identify development projects from idea to development phase, and eventual commercialisation.
  • Ensure that the provisions of the pharmacy act, the dangerous drugs act and any other legislation relating to pharmacy are strictly complied with, while conducting business.
  • Liaise with medical officers in the private sector in relation to choice of drugs
  • Act as inspector and attend parcel post, airport and seaport for verification of pharmaceuticals

 

Profile

  • Registered as pharmacist in accordance with legislation in force in Mauritius
  • Prior pharmaceutical experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated project management and organisation skills.
  • Previous business development or sales experience preferred, established networks with Pharmacies.
  • Excellent networking, presentation , oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong business acumen and analytical abilities.
  • Hold a valid driving licence (preference for manual driving licence)
