LUX* Chongzuo, Guangxi (74 Keys) is located in the Mingshi Village, Daxin County in Chongzuo City about 37 kilometres away from the well-known Detian Transnational Waterfall and about 210 kilometres away from the capital city of Guangxi Zhuang, an autonomous region in southern China.

LUX* Chongzuo, Guangxi is projected to open in two phases and the first phase will be in January 2021.

The incumbent will be responsible to:       

  • Supervise and ensure that the preparation and presentation of all food items are in accordance with the resort's Standard Operating Procedures and Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Ensure high standards and high quality dishes are delivered.
  • Actively participate in the development of menus and recipes based on current trends and Guests’ needs.
  • Work closely with the General Manager and the Food & Beverage Director in the development of new strategies and special events to maximise upselling opportunities in the Food & Beverage department.
  • Participate actively in the preparation of budgets and implementation of effective control of food cost.
  • Oversee and coordinate the Kitchen and Stewarding departments as well as participate in Team Members’ roster planning to ensure the smooth and efficient running of operations.
  • Lead the Kitchen and Stewarding Teams by enhancing mutual trust, encouraging subordinates to give their best.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of on-the-job training to develop knowledge and competencies of subordinates as well as to promote the standards of quality food items, presentation and service.
  • Communicate with Guests as well as ensure that service quality standards and Guest satisfaction are maintained at all times.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in safe food handling and HACCP.                                                 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least professional culinary qualifications at Diploma or Higher National Diploma Level from a reputable institution.
PREVIOUS PERFORMANCE
  • At least 15 years of Culinary working experience in the hospitality industry.
  • A minimum of 2 years of working experience as Executive Chef in a 5 star resort.
  • Strong working experience with well-renowned international luxury hospitality brands would be a definite advantage.

  • Excellent command of Food & Beverage Service Management.
  • Strong team management and leadership skills in order to lead, motivate and develop subordinates.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Extremely creative and innovative.
  • Ability to work under pressure, in teams and on own.
  • Excellent planning and organising skills.
  • Keep up to date with current Food trends.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Package.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin languages.
  • Valid Food Handlers’ Certificate.
  • Willingness to work during odd hours, weekends and public holidays.
  • A clean certificate of character is a must.
