To manage and monitor activities of the Quality Department as set by the QA Manager. To assist the QA Manager on any matters and policies with a view to improve the efficiency and services provided by the department.

• Establish, verify and implement all QC procedures in line with standard requirements 

• Approve and release incoming raw materials against specified requirements. 

• Approve and release finished product lots for final packing after review of evaluation and laboratory results. 

• Provide prompt information and advice to production to help maintain conformance with specification 

• To assist the QA Manager and Audit & Vendor Assurance Manager in the choice of critical suppliers of raw materials, packaging materials and delivery services 

• Manage daily QC shift operations, including work organization and overtime planning, equipment maintenance, and consumables stock 

• Ensure learning and training requirements for Quality Assurance personnel are provided and records of training accurately maintained 

• Produce summary reports in a timely manner as required. 

• Advise the QA Manager on capital expenditure requirements for QC activities. 

• Assist the QA Manager in the investigation of nonconforming products and implementing disposition actions as required. 

• To keep accurate records of all NUO’s and provide trend reports for review 

• Plan and conduct meetings with subordinates to ensure compliance with established practices, to implement new policies as directed by QA Manager and to keep employees abreast of current changes, standards and specific customer requirements. 

• Establish training needs, in coordination with the Learning and Development Manager for subordinate personnel. 
• Assist, as applicable, with ongoing company projects managed by the Innovations team.
• Monitor the effectiveness of services provided by the QA department to production. 
• Assist the QA Manager in writing and validating raw material specifications.

•  Assist the Product Life Cycle Manager in investigating customer complaints and were necessary implementing agreed actions.
