Ingenia Group is looking for a dynamic Micro Laboratory Analyst

 

Job Description:
The job incumbent shall be responsible to perform all analytical jobs and services in the microbiology Laboratory. Duties include collection and preparation of samples for analysis, performing laboratory tests on water, wastewater, soil, air, food, cosmetic, plant samples amongst others, preparing reports and summaries of results, and maintaining laboratory equipment. Lab technician may also be involved in the development, validation, and implementation of laboratory procedures.
He/she shall provide technical assistance as and when required.

Responsibilities:
• Conducts routine microbiological laboratory tests
• Prepares microbiological cultures and media
• Performs quality control tests on laboratory materials - Ensure reliability of testing procedures and effectiveness of Laboratory activities
• Analyses test results and document findings
• Maintains laboratory equipment and clean laboratory areas
• Ensure that safety protocols are followed while working in the laboratory
• Communicates test results and findings to laboratory personnel
• Participates in Proficiency Testing Schemes
• Implements, maintains and improves Quality Management system in Laboratory
• Supports in internal & external audits - Acts as Internal Auditor for Management and Technical Requirements of ISO 17025:2017
• Liaises with subcontractor for provision of external services
• Performs all relevant duties pertaining to Laboratory Division in order to ensure the smooth running of the Company
• Inventories, orders, receives, and stocks materials, supplies and equipment for laboratory use.

Profile of the Ideal Candidates
• A bachelor’s degree in Microbiology/ Biology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology or equivalent from a recognised institution
• Microbiology knowledge
• Minimum of 2 years working experience in Laboratory analytical works
• Computer skills & attention to details
• Organisation & analytical abilities
• Familiar with Quality Standards ISO/IEC 17025
