Health, Safety and Environment Officer

Our client is looking for a Health, Safety and Environment Officer.

 

Key responsibilities:

Implement behavior-based safety programmes within the organization.

Promote HSE awareness through various communication channels.

Implement appropriate Health and Safety training programmes.

Implement and continually improve HSE management systems, processes, and procedures.

Monitor environmental practices and promote sustainability initiatives.

Record HSE key performance indicators monthly and issue reports to management.

Lead incident investigations to determine root causes and assist Management to implement pragmatic measures.

Deal with OSHA requirements and ensure that any hazards are rectified in a timely manner.

Regularly inspect all places and sites of work and record findings.

Assist Management in complying with prevailing HSE legislation.

Conduct HSE data analysis and reporting statistics.

 

Candidate profile:

Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health management or related field.

 At least 4 years’ experience in a similar HSE role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial setting.

 Solid understanding of HSE legal frameworks, audits, and risk management.

 Sound interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative and advisory approach.

 Able to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and engage across all levels of the organization.

 A problem-solver with initiative, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail.
