Agriterra is seeking a motivated and results-oriented Field Operations Officer to support efficient and sustainable field operations within our agricultural activities.
Agriterra is seeking a motivated and results-oriented Field Operations Officer to support efficient and sustainable field operations within our agricultural activities.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Support the Area Manager in coordinating daily field operations (planting, harvesting, soil preparation and post-harvest follow-up).
- Monitor crop performance, yields, and field maintenance standards.
- Ensure appropriate application of herbicides and ripeners (manual, mechanical, and drone-assisted) in line with established guidelines.
- Oversee contractor activities and ensure alignment with agreed scope of work and procedures.
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry in CanePro and effective use of Agri-Tech tools.
- Monitor equipment utilisation, fuel consumption, and operational costs.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and company standards.
- Foster teamwork, knowledge sharing, and a respectful working environment.
Candidate Profile:
- Degree in Agriculture or a related field
- Comfortable working with digital and agricultural management systems
- Organised, analytical, and solution-oriented
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse team environment
- Committed to continuous learning and improvement
