Our client is recruiting a CSR Coordinator for the Communication Department.

 

Key responsibilities - CSR

  • Social impact strategy

i.            Assist in developing the company’s CSR strategy derived from communities’ needs and available resources and capacity

ii.           Assist in establishing a 3-year CSR strategic plan

iii.         Assist in drafting a 3-year CSR action plan with SMART timelines

  • Project implementation and monitoring

      i.          Ensure implementation of all projects contained in the existing Enhancing Communities’ Resilience CSR Strategic Plan (2026-2028) in collaboration with Radiant Communities

      ii.         Set up and conduct working sessions and community meetings according to each project’s plan and timeline with the support of Radiant Communities

    iii.         Set-up in collaboration with Radiant Communities relevant monitoring tools to measure progress of each project

    iv.         Track each project’s progress according to set timeline and budget

      v.         Prepare regular updates and presentations to share progress on each project

    vi.         Assess the impact of CSR projects and recommend improvements on a quarterly basis

   vii.         Manage project budgets and funding allocations

  • Reporting

       i.         Draft and provide regular CSR reports to the CSR committee, detailing about the progress of projects, challenges, outcomes, budget follow-up and updates, using preset KPIs and a logical framework

      ii.         Contribute to Social impact engagement annual report as requested by Charles River.

 

  • Human resource management

i.            Set up a community mobilization team for Vieux Grand-Port, Ville Noire, Rivière des Créoles and Petit Bel Air, and Beau Vallon for the smooth implementation of health, education and sports, and environment & sustainability initiatives

ii.           Set up clear, specific and relevant goals for each community mobilization officer in link with each local initiative Ensure that relevant projects are implemented and monitored by each community mobilization officer

iii.         Hold weekly meetings with the community mobilization team

  • Shareholder engagement

i.            Maintain partnership with community and internal department

ii.           Coordinate volunteering and employee engagement activities as per programme

iii.         Contribute to promoting CSR awareness across the organisation in line with communication department

  • Communication

i.        Provide regular social impact content and achievements to the communication department to promote CSR activities

ii.       Support the planning of, and actively participate to community events, reflecting the company’s Solidarité’s achievements and celebrations

iii.      Coordinate with communication department regarding branding related to CSR activities

iv.      Be one of the main points of contact for communities incoming request regarding funding

  • Compliance and ethical procedures

i.            Maintain updated knowledge of CSR regulations and administrative procedures

ii.           Ensure compliance with CSR regulations

iii.         Maintain a high-level of compliance to ethical procedures and policy

iv.         Ensure data protection in line with national requirements

v.           Follow local and international standards with regards to use of image of beneficiaries for communication purposes, including publication on social media, and develop relevant procedures to obtain their understanding and consent

vi.         Ensure ethical practices while implementing social impact projects and community-based initiatives

Administrative

Meeting management: Coordinate the different committees, prepare agendas and note of meetings with a centralised action item tracker. 

Document processing: coordinate request for donations and CSR, managing correspondence, follow up on donation request

Payment coordination: diligent follow up of CSR and donation payment with finance department with final confirmation shared to beneficiaries.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or management, non-profit management, sustainability, social work or related field

5+ relevant experience in non-profit leadership, fundraising, community and social work, involving project management skills

Experience in working closely with high-level management and executives

Community engagement

Evaluation and impact analysis skills

Fluent in French, English and Mauritian Creole

Problem-solving, result-oriented, adaptability and resilience
