Job Title: Cashier
Department: Front Office / Sales / Operations
Reports To: Finance Manager

Job Summary:
The Cashier is responsible for accurately processing customer transactions while delivering excellent customer service. The role ensures proper cash handling, efficient payment processing, and a smooth checkout experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process transactions accurately using the POS system

  • Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payments

  • Issue receipts, refunds, and correct change as required

  • Maintain a clean and organized cashier area

  • Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift

  • Assist customers with queries or direct them to the appropriate team member

  • Follow company policies and procedures for cash handling and security

  • Report discrepancies or operational issues to the supervisor

  • Support basic sales and customer service activities when needed

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service is preferred

  • Basic math and computer skills

  • Familiarity with POS systems

  • Honest, reliable, and detail-oriented

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
