This role focuses on identifying high-traffic locations, securing partnership agreements with shopping malls and venues, and establishing kiosk spaces where our fundraising teams can engage with the public.
Main Duties
Location Scouting and Venue Identification
Research and identify shopping malls, public spaces, and high-traffic venues suitable for fundraising kiosks
Conduct site visits to assess foot traffic, demographics, and suitability for Greenpeace activities
Map out potential fundraising locations across Mauritius with detailed notes on access, visibility, and target audience
Maintain an updated database of current and potential venues with contact information and partnership status
Partnership Development and Negotiations
Build and maintain relationships with mall management, property owners, and venue coordinators
Negotiate agreements for kiosk space, including terms, duration, and any associated costs
Prepare partnership proposals highlighting the mutual benefits of hosting Greenpeace activities
Secure necessary permits, permissions, and documentation for fundraising activities at each location
Address any concerns or objections from venue managers and find creative solutions
Coordination and Support
Coordinate with the fundraising team to schedule kiosk activations at secured locations
Provide venue information, access instructions, and contact details to fundraising staff
Conduct site briefings for fundraisers before they begin work at new locations
Monitor the performance of different locations and provide feedback to management
Troubleshoot any on-site issues that arise during fundraising activities
Reporting and Documentation
Maintain comprehensive records of all venue partnerships, agreements, and communications
Submit weekly reports on new locations identified, partnerships in progress, and agreements secured
Track and report on the fundraising performance of different locations
Provide recommendations for expanding or optimizing the location portfolio
Qualifications and Experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build professional relationships
Strong negotiation skills and the confidence to approach and persuade business managers
Experience in partnerships, business development, event coordination, or venue management (advantageous)
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation and follow-up
Professional appearance and demeanor suitable for representing Greenpeace to business partners
Knowledge of Mauritius geography and commercial landscape
Problem-solving ability and resilience when facing challenges or rejection
Valid driving license and access to reliable transportation
Proficiency in English and French; Creole is an asset

Working Conditions
Hours: 40 hours per week. Work is primarily conducted outdoors in various public locations across Mauritius.
Salary: Rs 30,000 - 40,000 per month, inclusive of transport refund
