The Health & Safety Intern will support the implementation and monitoring of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) practices within the Logistics Division.
Assist in carrying out duties in line with the OSHA under the guidance of the Health & Safety Officer.
Support the coordination and organisation of fire drills and help ensure employees are informed of their respective roles.
Participate in risk assessment exercises in collaboration with Heads of Departments.
Assist in conducting preliminary enquiries into accidents and dangerous occurrences and help prepare draft reports with recommendations.
Help identify potential Health & Safety risks and suggest practical improvement measures.
Support the implementation of Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives within the Logistics Division.
Assist in preparing awareness materials, toolbox talks and safety communications.
Maintain and update H&S records, reports and documentation.
Perform any other related duties as assigned to support the H&S function.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Degree in Occupational Safety & Health Management or related field.
Strong interest in Health, Safety and Environmental practices.
Basic understanding of relevant safety policies and procedures.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
Good communication skills in both English and French.
Proactive, eager to learn, detail-oriented and able to work collaboratively within a team.
Holder of a valid driving licence would be an advantage.
