The Safety & Health Officer will support the Safety & Health Manager to ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Act 2005.

 

Main Duties

  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and health Act 2005.
  • Carry out regular occupational safety and health audits to identify risks to safety and health, assess the need for preventive measures and advise the employer accordingly.
  • Make regular inspections on the different sites.
  • Design and implement appropriate training programmes to promote safety culture.
  • Review any measure, method, procedure or technique adopted to ensure occupational safety and health.
  • Develop effective communication systems on occupational safety and health between the employer and any employee.
  • Coordinate the phased implementation of relevant Healthand Safety Management standards.
Profile
  • Holder of a valid driving license.
  • Good leadership and organizational skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree/ Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health management or any other equivalent qualifications as set out in the first schedule of the Occupational Safety and Health Act 2005.
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience as registered Safety and Health Officer.
  • Experience in ISO 45001 or equivalent will be an advantage.
