Rogers Capital Technology Services Ltd is looking for a Core Network Engineer to work in its Managed Connectivity Department.
The Core Network Engineer will be responsible for the CORE Network operation, maintenance, optimization and availability of the ISP core network ensuring high performance, reliability, scalability and security

Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor and maintain IP/MPLS core network infrastructure
- Configure, manage and troubleshoot routing protocols including BGP, OSPF and IS-IS
- Manage MPLS services including L2VPN (E-Line, E-LAN) and L3VPN
- Perform fault diagnosis, root cause analysis and service restoration
- Support provisioning and troubleshooting for customers
- Monitor network performance, latency, packet loss and capacity utilization
- Participate in network upgrades, expansions and new service deployments
- Ensure high availability, redundancy and resiliency of the core network
- Coordinate with NOC, field teams and vendors for incident resolution
- Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams and configurations
- Support peering, IP transit, IXPs and upstream connectivity
- Assist with network security controls including ACLs, CoPP and basic DDoS mitigation
- Work outside normal office hours when required including planned maintenance, emergency incidents and on-call duty.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of IP networking fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with BGP, OSPF and/or IS-IS
- Good knowledge of MPLS architecture and services
- Experience with Cisco routers and carrier-grade equipment
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as SNMP, NetFlow and Zabbix
- Understanding of IPv4 and IPv6 dual-stack environments
- Knowledge of automation scripting (Python, Ansible) is an advantage

- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure and handle critical incidents
- Good communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Team player with proactive and responsible attitude
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
Qualifications & Certifications
- Degree or Diploma in Telecommunications, Networking, Computer Science or equivalent
- CCNA, CCNP or equivalent certifications are an advantage
