The Bottling Operator is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of bottling equipment to ensure that products are filled, capped, labeled, and packaged according to company standards and regulatory requirements.
Principal Responsibilities
• Operate, monitor, and maintain bottling line equipment, including fillers, cappers and labelers.
• Perform setup, startup, changeovers, and shutdown of machinery according to production schedule.
• Inspect bottles for quality issues such as contamination, improper fill levels, or label misalignment.
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and report major malfunctions to maintenance.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies.
• Accurately complete production, including batch documentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area in accordance with sanitation standards.
• Communicate effectively with other team members to ensure smooth workflow.
• Replace gas whenever needed.
• Assist in other tasks as assigned by the supervisor/manager.
Skills and Competencies
• Experience with automated bottling equipment.
• Knowledge of beverage industry standards.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
