Prepares and produces high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods in accordance with established recipes and kitchen standards, ensuring consistency, food safety, and timely service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake pastries, desserts, breads and other baked goods as per recipes and standards.
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation and portioning.
- Assist in menu planning and development when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Monitor ingredient quality, freshness and proper storage.
- Control waste and support cost management initiatives.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly.
- Assist with stock taking and inventory control.
- Maintain accurate production and attendance records.
- Work cooperatively with kitchen and service teams.
- Comply with company policies and kitchen procedures.
