Bon Marché Market is situated in grand baie. The candidate will be responsible for processing customer transactions accurately, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organised checkout area.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate POS systems and process cash and card payments.
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service.
- Handle cash accurately and responsibly.
- Maintain cleanliness and order at the checkout area.
- Handle cash floats, end-of-shift cash-ups, and report discrepancies.
- Assist customers with basic product information and promotions.
- Ensure correct scanning, pricing, and bagging of products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of checkout and front-of-house areas.
- Follow company procedures related to loss prevention and security.
- Support other store departments during quiet periods when required.
Profile
- Previous experience in retail or cashier role preferred
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Honest, punctual, and customer-focused
- Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
