The Maintenance Officer oversees the upkeep, repair, and functionality of communal spaces and facilities. They manage preventive maintenance, repairs, and safety checks, working closely with the La Balise Marina Manager to ensure smooth, compliant operations.
Conduct routine inspections and maintain shared spaces such as gardens, walkways, parking areas, and recreational facilities within the Association and Marina.
Oversee the maintenance of amenities, including outdoor spaces and community centers.
Manage the upkeep of shared infrastructure, such as lighting, HVAC, and plumbing in communal areas.
Liaise with the Manager La Balise Marina to understand the specific needs of the association and marina, ensuring that shared maintenance tasks (plumbing, electrical, STP, dock facilities, lighting) are addressed.

Ensure both marina and association properties are maintained in top condition, including repairs to piers, docks, boatsheds, and other marina infrastructure.
Manage specialized marina-related maintenance, such as waterfront facilities and dockage systems, in coordination with the Marina teams.
Develop and implement a preventive maintenance plan for association and marina infrastructure.
Work with the Manager La Balise Marina to ensure regular servicing of equipment, including waterfront lighting.
Track all preventive maintenance tasks and schedules to minimize unexpected breakdowns and operational disruptions.
Perform regular safety inspections of all communal and marina facilities to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Ensure all emergency and safety equipment is functional and meets legal standards for both association and marina.
Report and mitigate hazards affecting residents, guests, or marina visitors.
Act as a liaison between property owners, the marina, and external contractors or vendors.
Address maintenance issues raised by property owners to the Manager La Balise Marina, communicating resolutions clearly and promptly.
Maintain open communication channels with the Manager La Balise Marina to ensure smooth coordination of maintenance tasks and schedules.
Work with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance tasks for both the Association and marina.
Ensure contractors meet expectations regarding service quality, safety, and deadlines.
Monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance with Association standards.
Maintain an inventory of tools, parts, and maintenance supplies for both the property and marina.
Work with the Manager La Balise Marina to manage the maintenance budget, keeping expenses within limits.
Oversee procurement of materials for repairs and maintenance projects.
Document all maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and tasks completed for both property and marina.
Prepare and submit regular reports to the Manager La Balise Marina, tracking ongoing projects, repairs, and financial matters.
Maintain detailed records of contracts, service agreements, and maintenance logs related to association and marina operations.
Supervise and guide junior maintenance staff or contractors.
Delegate tasks and ensure proper completion of assigned work.
