QBL is seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Manager to lead our technical operations and drive excellence across projects. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with effective leadership skills to ensure high-quality delivery, innovation, and continuous improvement.
What you will be doing:
- Implement preventive/corrective maintenance regarding electrical systems for all range of equipment while taking into account security and production priorities and constraints.
- Ensure prompt trouble shooting and repair pertaining to breakdown related to instrumentation, electrical and electronics of machinery and electrical system.
- Implement means to optimize energy in the plant.
- Complete electrical projects by supervising installations, commissioning & resolving design issues as per requirement.
- Develop a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule and ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out.
- Manage the team to ensure maximum machine availability and optimize equipment according to standard procedure, enhancing performance and product quality.
- Schedule both internal and external work(s) maximizing planned down time and reducing unplanned downtime.
- Manage the process of disposal of obsolete machinery, plant, and equipment from gaining agreement to write off to physically removing it and its safe and lawful disposal.
- Ensure the management of maintenance issues to be resolved.
- Produce written reports and make presentations as and when required.
- Undertake continuous training for both self and team development.
- Provide expert advice to the team on technical issues.
- Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver on assignments, including the engagement of external resources as required.
- Develop, implement, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility by ensuring KPIs are met against set objectives for subordinates and identify areas of improvement.
- Ensure all Health & Safety, quality, HACCP standards and environmental policies and procedures are adhered to during implementation of maintenance and technical works.
- Lead the maintenance team ad inspire them to achieve goals through innovation, quality, and excellence.
- Encourage team interaction, boost employee motivation, and appreciate team contribution.
- Work in close collaboration with the Manufacturing Operation Manager to schedule any preventive maintenance programs as and when required.
- Perform other cognate duties as assigned by the Factory Manager or Management.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven track record in managing complex technical projects or operations.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Excellent organizational and decision-making abilities
- Proven experience in project management, process optimization, and technical operations.
- Familiarity with budget management, resource planning, and performance monitoring.
