Duties and Responsibilities
You will work with a portfolio of UK clients including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships. Responsibilities include:
Bookkeeping on cloud Software as follows:
Review sales and expense documents received via DEXT, ensuring accurate coding and publishing to Xero.
Review and match bank statement transactions in Xero to sales and purchase invoices.
Post payroll journals based on payroll reports.
Prepare and raise queries for the UK team to send to clients.
Produce Xero online bank reconciliation reports, reviewing and noting required amendments.
Review aged receivables and payables in Xero, make necessary adjustments, and provide review notes for the UK team.
Review VAT transactions in Xero VAT returns, confirm correct VAT codes, and forward to the UK team for final review.
Enter year-end accounting journals into Xero.
Understanding of double-entry bookkeeping (advantageous).
Strong IT skills with working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, and Microsoft Teams.
Experience using Xero or other accounting software (beneficial).
Awareness of UK VAT rules (a plus).
Good communication skills for calls and email communication with the UK team.
Currently pursuing ACCA Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 2 years’ relevant work experience.
