You will be responsible for ensuring that all guests are aware about the explorer concept according to Veranda Tamarin standard.

 

Main duties:

    • Take part in internal training courses and to implement accordingly.
    • Carry out all assigned / programmed activities as per established hotel standards and procedures and further assist his/her colleagues in a team working environment.
    • To keep and ensure that all areas under his/ her control and responsibility satisfy the most stringent hygiene and sanitation requirements at all times.
    • Keep his superior informed about all unusual matters concerning any plans affecting his/her area and his/her personal growth.
    • Ensure that all guest queries and requests for information are handled efficiently.
    • Welcome the guest upon arrival and inform them about the Explorer concept.
    • Continuously provide guest information on the Explorer Concept, Mauritius & Hotel facilities.
    • Recommend and up-sell our restaurant, explorer activities, facilities as first option.
    • Gathers preferences/feedback and profile information of guest and records them in the trace report.
    • Ensure that complaints are attended promptly and handled in a professional manner according to Veranda Tamarin Standards
    • Alerting the Guest Experience Executive of any complaints, comment or incident
    • To encourage guest to like, post and rate the hotel on the social media (TripAdvisor, Booking.com, Instagram)
    • To conduct hotel, visit for in house guest, walking guest & Tour operator
    • Ensure that accurate records are being kept for guest experience department areas of concerned. Mini Moke movement, activities booking etc...
    • Regularly spot checks the cleanliness of the Hotel Vehicles ( Mini Moke, Hotel electric bike).
    • Ensure that guest messages, booking confirmation are being recorded properly and delivered to the room in a timely manner.
    • Assists superiors in carrying out the daily/monthly reports.
    • Ensure and ascertains that all vouchers of outside companies used at the Guest Experience Desk are correctly filled out and all necessary details entered for proper processing by the Hotel Account Department.
    • The Guest Experience Officer will maintain a professional & friendly manner to communicate with the guests.
    • Attend daily briefings in his/her department
    • Follow-up of all procedures as per SOP
    • The Guest Experience Officer shall represent the image of the hotel by paying close attention to his/her grooming.
    • Comply with all the sustainability commitments and practices implemented within business units
    • Notify the Sustainable Development Department of any matters that may pose any impact to the environment and society
     
Candidate's Profile:
  • HSC level or equivalent 
  • 1 year of experience would be recommended.
  • Fluent both in English and French.
