PNL is looking for a Customs Officer for its Supply Chain Department.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Customs Operations Management: Oversee all customs documentation and clearance procedures toensure efficient processing of shipments.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all applicable customs laws, regulations, and internal procedures.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison with customs authorities, port officials, and other regulatory bodies to facilitate timely clearance.
- Documentation Handling: Coordinate with shipping lines and freight forwarders to obtain and verify"Notice of Arrival" and other required documents for all incoming consignments.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve any issues, delays, or discrepancies related to custom processing.
- Administrative Support: Perform general administrative tasks related to customs operations, including record-keeping, date entry, report preparation, and filing of document.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Logistics, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven experience in customs operations or a similar role.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of customs procedures, regulations, and practices and HS codes.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- License: A valid motorcycle or and/or car driving license will be an added advantage.
