The IT Officer will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and improving the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, websites, and back-office systems.

 

The ideal candidate should possess hands-on technical expertise, strong troubleshooting abilities, and the ability to support both hardware and software operations to ensure seamless business continuity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the company’s servers, network infrastructure, and backup systems.
  • Provide day-to-day technical support for staff on IT-related issues, including hardware, software, and connectivity.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure data security, integrity, and confidentiality across all digital platforms.
  • Oversee website management and maintenance, ensuring uptime, functionality, and security.
  • Support and administer back-office IT systems, including databases, internal portals, and communication tools.
  • Install, configure, and update software applications, operating systems, and security tools.
  • Liaise with external IT service providers, vendors, and consultants when necessary.
  • Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices in alignment with company objectives.
  • Conduct regular system audits and prepare technical reports for management review.
  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning.

 Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar role.
  • Proven experience with server administration (Windows/Linux), website management (CMS, hosting, DNS), and network systems.
  • Knowledge of back-office IT operations, data management, and cloud platforms is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and data protection standards.
