Assists the Maintenance Manager in planning, organising and coordinating all functional and operational activities of maintenance, including preventive repairs so as to cost effectively provide quality services to guests in line with hotel standards.
Main responsibilities:
• Plans short- and long-term objectives of the Department in accordance with the Maintenance Manager
• Plans, coordinates, controls and supervises the departmental activities
• Assists in planning for the installation of equipment and estimates extensive maintenance works and repairs
• Ensures follow-up of complaints and initiates remedial actions to satisfy guests
• Promotes good employment relationship and team spirit
• Ensures that all material and equipment are in good running conditions at all times
• Conducts regular inspections of workplace and maintains proper hygienic norms
• Attends daily departmental meeting to exchange information on daily operations
Qualifications and profile:
• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Building Services Engineering or equivalent technical qualification
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an industrial, hospitality or institutional setting
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, air-conditioning and general maintenance practices
• Understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Good leadership and communication skills
• Team player with hands-on approach and strong attention to detail
• Computer literate
