Main tasks / responsibilities:
Plan, procure, and execute logistics to end customers (primarily in China)
- Manage cobalt logistics (inland and ocean freight) across DRC/Zambia and neighboring corridors via road and rail, including routing via Durban, Dar-es-Salaam and others to main Chinese ports
- Negotiate contracts and key T&Cs with counterparties (brokers/ agents, transporters and warehouses) and execute internal approval processes
- Suggest and develop most efficient corridors (incl. ports and warehouses) based on logistics timeline, costs and customers preferences
Shipment & inventory control
- Monitor and communicate stock levels (in-transit and at warehouses) within dedicated corridors to Sales team and plan releases
- Instruct warehouses of material releases and loading onto vessels, monitoring vessel sailing dates and informing customers on arrival schedule
- Provide Sales team with timely analytical support on spot quotes & rates from logistics companies for sales negotiations (costs, timing, etc. for key routes that goes into differential)
Export/import compliance & documentation
- Manage all export/import compliance & documentation requirements: commercial invoice, packing list, BL, COO, other certificates/permits and dangerous goods documentation when applicable
- Customs and regulatory coordination with brokers/authorities in origin countries, monitor evolving export restrictions and exemptions impacting cobalt intermediates
Other
- Make records in SAP, including purchases, stock movement into different warehouses (IB/OB), capturing shipping cost & sea/road freight, stock picking & releasing Outbound deliveries, stock reconciliation & reporting
- Manage and track timely payments to vendors with coordination of Finance team
- Maintain traceability and due-diligence records, actioning and managing claims
- Assess corridor and port risks (security, congestion, weather, industrial action), maintain contingency routing (e.g., east- vs west-bound) and drive incident response
Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge |

- 3–6 years in end-to-end logistics or supply chain roles; at least 2+ years moving bulk/industrial commodities; mining/metals exposure strongly preferred
- Hands-on carrier/forwarder procurement and performance management; RFQ/RFP experience
- Fluency in English (oral and written)
- Knowledge of MS Excel, SAP
- Experience of working in Metals & Mining sector
- Experience of administration in an internation environment
- Knowledge of SAP (SD/MM)
