As a Pastry Maker, you will be responsible for creating new and exciting desserts, preparing a wide variety of baked goods, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

 

Key responsibilities:
  • Creating new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers.
  • Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc. following traditional and
  • modern recipes.
  • Able to develop, design, or create new ideas and items for Pastry Kitchen.
  • Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc. following traditional and
  • modern recipes.
  • Decorating pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful
  • and exciting.
  • Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within
  • budget.
  • Check the quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking.
  • Guide and motivate pastry assistants and bakers to work more efficiently.
  • Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
  • Serves as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviours.
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene and Health and Safety standards.
Qualifications:
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification in pastry arts is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role.
  • Strong creative and artistic skills with a passion for pastry and dessert creation.
  • In-depth knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and presentation styles.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid food-handlers certificate.
  • Valid Certificate of character.
