The Oncology Support Officer will work under the supervision of the Cancer Center Administrator to deliver appropriate level of customer care services to patients.
• Maintain close coordination with the Chemotherapy Unit team to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
• Accurately organize, store, and manage patient records in coordination with the Ward Clerk and Chemo Unit Lead, ensuring accessibility and confidentiality.
• Foster strong, long-lasting relationships with patients by understanding and responding to their individual needs and concerns.
• Provide emotional and psychological support to cancer patients and their families, helping them navigate the challenges of treatment.
• Offer supportive resources and information to patients and their families to encourage a positive outlook and informed decision-making.
• Uphold strict confidentiality standards at all times, especially in handling electronically stored personal data, in accordance with data protection policies and regulations
What are we looking for?
• HSC and a minimum of one year of experience in healthcare setting
• Knowledge of medical terminologies
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
• Computer literate
