As a Junior Compliance Administrator, you will be called upon to act as a representative for Sovereign’s compliance culture and standards demonstrating the highest standards of compliance behaviour and to raise awareness of regulatory requirements and compliance policies.

 

Job Purpose

As a Junior Compliance Administrator, you will be called upon to act as a representative for Sovereign’s compliance culture and standards demonstrating the highest standards of compliance behaviour and to raise awareness of regulatory requirements and compliance policies. The Junior Compliance Administrator will also be responsible for liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance requirements are met.

Main duties

  • Assist in daily compliance administration and management of the Employer’s companies
  • Ensuring timely and efficient KYC checks on the onboarding of IFAs/Clients
  • Assist in liaising with offshore service providers of the managed companies
  • Assist in On-going monitoring and risk assessment of the managed companies transactions
  • Liaising as required with nominated associates in other offices withing the Sovereign Group
  • ensuring that the company  and the clients meets its regulatory and legal obligations
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance requirements are met.
  • Provide administrative support to the compliance team as required.
  • Any other related duties that may be required from time to time.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Other industry relevant certifications may be preferred or required.

Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in a compliance support role or similar.
  • Experience in maintaining compliance records, conducting internal audits, and developing compliance policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of compliance regulations and requirements, such as GDPR, AML, amongst others.
  • Good to have knowledge of compliance software and tools.

Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Understanding of compliance policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
