The incumbent’s main responsibilities will be to sell and promote Himalaya pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals, including doctors, pharmacists, and hospital representatives.

 

Job Purpose

The main function or purpose of this role is to assist the business to create constant awareness of the Himalaya range of products in Mauritius amongst the doctors and other healthcar professionals, pharmacies, Clinics and hospitals.  To ensure that it is top of mind amongst healthcare professionals and increase its numeric distribution and availability in this sector. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Promotion & Sales
    • Promote and detail Himalaya pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals.
    • Organize product presentations, meetings, and educational events.
    • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain professional relationships with doctors, pharmacists, and hospitals.
    • Provide accurate product information and answer medical inquiries.
    • Act as a trusted link between QBL and the healthcare community.
  • Market Research & Intelligence
    • Gather feedback on product performance, competitor activities, and market trends.
    • Report field observations to the business.
  • Territory Management
    • Plan and execute daily visits and promotional activities to the HCP within the assigned area.
    • Maintain updated records of calls, visits, and customer interactions.
    • Any other work-related duties assigned by the line manager.
  • Compliance
    • Ensure adherence to industry regulations, company policies, and ethical marketing practices.

Qualifications & Skills required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, Life Sciences, Medicine, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven sales experience, preferably in pharmaceuticals or healthcare will be an added advantage
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Persuasive, outgoing and adaptable.
  • Strong network creating abilities and business awareness.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory/region.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, CRM tools).
  • A valid driving license is a must.

Work Conditions

  • Field-based role requiring regular travel.
  • Interaction with healthcare professionals in clinics, hospitals, and pharmacies.
  • Occasional participation in conferences and training sessions.
