The Cold Room Supervisor is responsible to manage and oversee all activities within a cold storage facility, ensuring the efficient and safe storage and handling of temperature-sensitive goods.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment, and skill of personnel.
  • Supervise the allocation of utilities resources (people, equipment and supplies) while ensuring optimum resource utilization.
  • Plans, prioritizes, assigns, supervises, reviews, and participates in the work of staff responsible for the department.
  • Participates in the development of goals and objectives as well as policies and procedures; makes recommendations for changes and improvements to existing standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Participates in the selection of assigned staff; provides or coordinates staff training; works with employees to correct deficiencies; implements discipline procedures.
  • Maintains records concerning operations and programs; prepares reports on operations and activities, including the work order program.
  •  Ensures the load and discharge is performed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Completes required documents associated with operations in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Observe and maintain BRCG Practices in designated area of responsibility.
  • Work in accordance with all Health & Safety regulations.
  • Work in accordance with all internal Security Procedures.
