As a Functional Tester at Maureva, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions. Your responsibilities will include analyzing requirements, designing and executing test scenarios, and verifying that our products meet both client expectations and industry standards. Through structured testing and clear documentation, you will contribute to the continuous improvement and success of our solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Software Testing
- Analyze functional and technical requirements to design effective test cases.
- Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test scenarios across various phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Perform end-to-end functional testing to validate system behavior and business logic.
- Document test results and ensure traceability of test coverage against requirements.
Defect Management
- Identify, log, and track software defects with clear and detailed documentation.
- Collaborate with development and project teams to facilitate timely resolution of issues.
- Monitor defect status and participate in regular follow-ups to ensure proper handling and escalation when needed.
Training & Knowledge Sharing
- Assist in the creation of user guides and training materials for new functionalities.
- Provide training sessions and knowledge transfer to internal stakeholders, ensuring proper understanding of delivered features.
- Act as a subject matter expert for the functionalities tested.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in functional or software testing.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies techniques.
- Proficient in using issue and project tracking tools such as JIRA and Redmine.
- Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and French.
- Organized, methodical, and systematic in approach to testing tasks.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Open to Mauritian citizens only.
