Service Consultant - Dayforce Strategic Services - Reporting

The Consultant role provides solutions for the existing HCM client base. This role is responsible for scoping, documenting, developing, testing, and reporting projects for a variety of HCM modules. Must ensure the timely completion of complex and multifaceted projects by collecting customer requirements and designing, configuring, and testing Dayforce HCM to meet the clients’ needs. Responsibilities also include coordinating related project activities, communicating with internal and external customers and documentation of project throughout the lifecycle. In addition, this role is responsible for providing guidance to less experienced associates and may lead on projects where more than one resource is required.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for scoping, documenting, configuring, testing, communicating with clients, and delivering successful completion of projects for a variety of HCM modules
  • Strong emphasis in Payroll along with WFM Organization Structure and SQL to deliver Reporting projects successfully
  • Gather user requirements, prepare a detailed SRS that outlines scope, and review with customer for design approval
  • Lead complex projects and provide advanced support where analysis of situations or data requires a review of requirements and identifiable factors
  • Interpret project requirements to determine the best solutions with limited assistance using the appropriate tools
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to other team members, acting as a subject matter expert
  • Will be expected to perform SQL coding
  • Demonstrates agility by efficiently problem-solving issues throughout the project
  • Delivers technical solutions on time and in budget to meet customer expectations
  • Work with customer and/or vendors to ensure thorough system testing, provide resolution to issues and ensure quality configurations/solutions
  • Manage project workflow and coordinate project resources (both Ceridian and client resources as well as vendors where applicable), to ensure a successful project completion
  • Act as a technical resource to others in the Strategic Services group
  • Maintain accurate and timely updates within the project tracking, time tracking and client billing systems

 

Educational/Skill/Experience Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience as a business/systems analyst or similar function
  • 1+ years’ experience working directly with Dayforce HCM required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong analysis skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects
  • Specific knowledge and experience with SQL Server database
  • Excellent organizational skills, follow-through on tasks, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks under pressure

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or Business
  • Technical knowledge and experience with Dayforce HCM Implementation Tools is preferred ·Experience with HR/Payroll/Time and Attendance products in HR/Payroll marketplace

 

Working Environment & Physical Demands:

  • General office environment or home office
  • Ability and willingness to travel to prospect and customer sites as needed
  • Must be able to work in an environment of very tight deadlines and strict requirements for accuracy
  • May be required to work beyond normal working hours to respond to client needs
  • Business conducted across time zones
  • Continuously sit at a desk for extended periods of time
  • Continuously be in front of a computer for extended periods of time
