Join an established Credit Finance Company, offering short term finance to individuals and small to medium sized companies in Mauritius and the Southern African region as a Senior Accountant with basic duties as a General Manager
Well positioned in Mauritius to deliver offshore financial products, in a familiar and well-communicated format, to the African market. The bespoke loan management systems are adaptable and customized. As an integral part of the organization, the role of Senior Accountant / General Manager will involve overseeing financial operations, strategic planning, and hold Directorship & Signatory responsibilities.
Tasks:
Finance and Administration
- Overseeing preparation of Management accounts
- Annual Financial Statements
- Leading Year end - Audit with auditors
- MRA Filings (APS, TDS, CGS, CTX, PRGF)
Client Onboarding and Communication
- Review client (loan) applications and assess credit worthiness (be able to read a set of FS/cashflows)
- Direct client correspondence
Legal
- Oversee compliance officer and ensure adherence to procedures manuals
Regulatory Affairs
- FSC and regulatory filings
- Oversee regular FSC and FIU questionnaires
Human Resource
- Monitoring attendance (and reporting absences)
- Maintaining adherence to local policies
- Salary calculation and release
- Recruitment
- Performance assessment and monitoring
Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes:
- Accounting Degree / ACCA / ACA
- GBC accounting and Admin experience
- Well versed, proficient in the English Language (Verbal & Written)
