To manage and guide overall provision of Human Resources (HR) and Knowledge Management (KM) policies and programs for the entire company.

 

JOB PROFILE

  • Formulate and develop Human Resources Management and Knowledge Management strategies and policies for the company and analyse, advise and execute HR and KM strategic projects with a view to improve the performance of the company;

  • Assume overall responsibility for all HR functions including the selection and recruitment of employees; the drafting of job profiles; the formulation and support of learning and growth initiatives including coaching and mentoring and also ensuring that the necessary training is provided to team members; the monitoring of employee performance, productivity and engagement; the management of employee remuneration and career development; the planning and supervision of HR operations within legal framework and applicable HR best practice;

  • Manage employee relations including dealing with capacity issues, refereeing disputes, terminations and administering disciplinary procedures and industrial disputes;

  • Provide a strategic view on the development of Knowledge Management systems and practices in order to support the work and development of the company into the future;

  • Lead, plan and support the implementation of the Knowledge Management Strategy by working closely with Management team to agree on planning priorities and work plans.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • A degree in HR Management or Business Administration or equivalent from a recognized institution;

  • At least 5 years post qualification managerial experience in Human Resources;

  • A minimum of 1 year experience in the HR function of an IT Service Delivery organization will be an advantage;

  • Experience in a function in relation with Knowledge Management will be an advantage;

  • Good knowledge of employment laws & regulations and company policies relating to personnel;

  • Proven experience in dealing with trade unions, in drafting procedure agreements and collective bargaining agreements;

  • Good knowledge of a technology based service delivery organization would be an advantage.

  • Competent skills level in core IT applications;

  • Ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines and with a keen eye for details;

  • Fosters powerful and productive working relationships both within the service and cross functionally as well as externally;

  • Analytical and critical thinking skills and the ability to influence others and manage change;

  • Ability to handle disciplinary issues appropriately;

  • Strong results orientation within a partnership HR model;
