Our client a Legal firm is looking for a Legal Executive
Job Overview/ Main purpose and Scope of the Job
Working as a Legal Executive requires that you have a keen interest in Data Protection laws and commercial and corporate work.
Key Responsibilities and Duties include:
- Demonstrate strong research and technical skills across a sufficiently wide range of legal knowledge and mainly in data protection laws and, regulations and case laws.
- Advising clients on their obligations and responsibilities under data protection laws.
- Drafting various legal documents related to data protection, such as privacy policies, data processing agreements, consent forms and legal opinions.
- Reviewing contracts, agreements, and vendor arrangements to ensure that they comply with data protection laws and adequately protect client’s interests.
- Conducting compliance audits and assessments for clients to evaluate their current data protection practices, identify areas of non-compliance or vulnerability, and recommend remedial actions to address deficiencies.
- Assist in training sessions, preparation of training slides, liaising with the administrative team for the MQA approval and proper coordination of training.
- Provide a high-quality legal service to all clients of the firm.
- Assist in doing research work and in dealing with client files in general.
- Comply with professional standards and the highest level of governance, including all relevant regulatory obligations and the firm’s systems, frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Be an active and inclusive team member and seek opportunities to work collaboratively across teams.

Qualifications
- Holder of an LLB or any equivalent diploma/degree.
- At least 2 years’ working experience and knowledge in data protection laws.
