MAIN DUTIES
Be responsible for the cleanliness of the hotel to the established Sofitel Group standards that ensure guests satisfaction at all times.
Manage the Housekeeping and Linen/Laundry departments.
Focus on quality and contribute to hotel profitability through effective cost controls.
Achieve guest satisfaction targets and abide to and apply the Sofitel Group standard operating procedures, and internal policies and guidelines, at all times.
Manage budgets according to occupancy and forecasting, and schedule staff accordingly for the different areas and tasks.
Manage performance issues that arise within the respective operating departments
Interview, select, train, appraise, coach, counsel and discipline departmental
employees/managers according to company standards, in collaboration with the Human Resources Department.
Evaluate changes in guest needs, the guest mix and competitive set, to recommend
appropriate product/service and operational changes as necessary
Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations
Be an inspiration to all hotel staff to achieve luxury levels of performance
Interact in a positive way with other departments to ensure a luxury guest experience
Must be an example of the Sofitel Values, brand standards, and a champion of grooming
and appearance guidelines
CANDIDATE PROFILE
At least 2 years as Executive Housekeeper in luxury resorts/hotels
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Fluent in English & French - a third language is desirable
Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
Excellent grooming and work etiquette standards
Ability to work under pressure and under own initiative
