Assist the Financial Controller in all the financial aspects of the department in a timely and concise manner..
- Prepare monthly management reports, quarterly reports to the Board and the annual reports.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and other financial plans.
- Ensure timely reporting to meet the Group standards and deadlines.
- Responsible for the accuracy, completeness and reliability of the accounting records and compliance with IFRS.
- Ensure internal controls are in place and that existing policies and procedures are adhered to
- Ensure proper and timely filling of returns to the regulatory bodies.
- Monitor and manage bank balances and relationships with banks.
- Overview internal and external audit meetings.
- Maintain fixed asset register.
- Supervision of payments, receipt vouchers, bank deposits, cash registers, bank, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Follow up on night audit work.
- Follow up on account receivables and payables.
- Other cognate duties & responsibilities as may be assigned
Profile 1-3 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN HOTEL ENVIRONMENT WILL BE A DEFINITE ADVANTAGE
- HSC and ACCA level 2 or equivalent.
- Knowledge of SAGE Pastel Compulsory.
- Knowledge of Opera, MC & Micros are a definite advantage.
- At least 5 years of work experience in hospitality accounting and finance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications such as word, excel, PowerPoint and outlook.
- Sound knowledge in IFRS and prevailing accounting standard.
- Good Interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good analytical skills with attention to details when working with figures.
- Ability to work under pressure and odd hours.
- Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team.
- Innovative problem solver with a good team spirit and a can-do attitude.
