On September 27 2016, BOC (Mauritius) Limited officially opened for business, becoming the first Chinese-funded bank in Mauritius.

BOC (Mauritius) Limited will be mainly engaged in corporate financial business while branching out businesses in deposits, loans, remittances, international settlement, trade financing, financial market and financial institutions. It will actively carry out cross-border RMB business so as to provide all-round and quality financial services to enterprises and multinational corporations in China, Mauritius and Africa, and strive to establish itself as a strategic platform for BOC’s African business.

In future, it will implement the strategy of “Serving Society, Delivering Excellence” and give full play to its advantages in cross-border services so as to build a bridge for financial cooperation and further strengthen the economic and trade ties between China and Mauritius and between China and Africa.
